Jazz Mandolin Project @ Brooklyn Bowl, NYC
The JazzMandolin Project will perform a short run of dates in New England and New York this February, their first true tour in two decades. JMP is an adventurous ensemble founded in 1993 by mandolinist Jamie Masefield in Burlington, Vermont. What began as a way for Masefield to explore improvisation outside traditional jazz frameworks evolved into a boundary-pushing trio with a rotating cast of collaborators. From its earliest days, the group became known for genre-blurring live shows that leaned into spontaneity, groove, and fearless experimentation. The current lineup includes Masefield, drummer Jon Fishman, bassist Danton Bolles and trumpeter / multi-instrumentalist Michael “Mad Dog” Mavridoglou.
Rather than sticking to a single genre, the Jazz Mandolin Project weaves together elements of jazz, rock, funk, and world-inspired rhythms. Their discography reflects that diversity, but it’s the band’s live performances—defined by musical risk-taking and unpredictability—that earned them a loyal following. At its core, JMP has always been about the thrill of discovery and the freedom to go anywhere musically on any given night.

Bridget Everett & The Tender Moments @ Joe’s Pub, NYC
Bridget Everett and The Tender Moments barrel back into Joe’s Pub! Bridget’s legendary and take-no-prisoners live act is a perennial sold-out hit and has garnered a faithful cult following. She has been seen in a string of recent television shows and movies, but to experience Bridget is to experience her live.
Her in-your-face comedy is mixed with one outrageous rocking and original song after another. Dripping with hard-earned sweat in her sparkling and revealing House of Larréon dresses, she swigs from a bottle in a paper bag while telling stories about her dysfunctional family and her struggles with incontinence.
Grab a ticket and hold on tight. Prepare yourself for motor-boating, money notes and Chardonnay soaked memories. Shit is about to get ridiculous. This show is not for the faint of heart. Bring a chaperone. No two shows are the same, ever.
