The audience itself is essential to the performance with deeply touching\, oftentimes hilarious\, and immersive moments that build to a delicious illustration of our nation’s diverse and sometimes dysfunctional story\, reinvigorating a distinctively American sense of possibility. \nThe only scheduled presentation of the complete 24-Decades on the East Coast\, this epic event (hailed as a Ring Cycle for the 21st Century)\, will be presented as two 12-hour parts\, the longest presentation segments since Taylor’s historic 24-hour marathon performance in Brooklyn last fall. Taylor recently won the 2017 Edward M. Kennedy Award for Drama inspired by American History\, the 2017 MacArthur Foundation ‘Genius’ Grant\, and was a 2017 Pulitzer Prize Finalist for Drama. DESCRIPTION:Virginia native Gibb Droll will appear at Funhouse Fest to preview his new collection of Americana influenced material.  Droll is an American composer\, songwriter\, painter\, and scorer of film.  In addition to his tenure in Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers\, Droll is noted for his numerous side projects including those with Ken Coomer (Wilco)\, Bryn Davies (The Tony Rice Unit\, Jack White)\, and the prolific songwriter and poet Kevin Kinney.  He has been highly sought after as a touring and studio guitarist most recently collaborating with his longtime friends Brandi Carlile\, Keller Williams and Larry Keel. His earnest reputation and selfless nature have aided him in his successful emergence as a record producer.
